I bought these to help my autistic 5yr old. They have very sturdy handles and are great fro improving his fine motor skills.I could not beore impressed with this set for babies. My kid loves them and they work sooooo well. If you are on the fence about them, just buy them. It's worth every penny of the asking price.I bought these when my son was 11 months old and is proficiently using a fork and spoon before his first birthday! I don’t really have a different brand for comparison but I’d definitely say these are worth the price tag.A++ absolutely perfect for toddlers learning to use proper eating utensils. My little one loves it.It is called as training spoon however it is metal and it has sharp end so whenever baby tries, he hits his teeth or tongue, and he is not comfortable. It could have been silicon.Handle is good though, baby holds it very easily but the metal part has to be changed with bpa free siliconeMealtimes have been historically a struggle for me as a mom - especially getting my toddler excited about the food I serve her. Doddl has greatly shifted this as my daughter now has the proper “tools” to participate in meal prep! As she helps cut the food (then season & stir it) she seems so much more excited to eat it when it’s done! The Doddl knife is my favorite because I can let her freely use it without the concern of her cutting herself. I love the compact sizes and am looking forward to my baby practicing with them soon too. Thanks!I have been handing my 14 month old a spoon or fork with every meal just so he could get the feel of it. I gave him the spoon today and he LOVED it. He is still working on the scooping motion so he would hold out his hand and go "Eh!" (his way of asking for help) and I would help him scoop and he would take a bite. Definitely worth the money!Cannot recommend these highly enough. My baby is 13 months old and she’s a bit of a fussy eater. I was reluctant to get her cutlery because she’s an absolute maniac and the thought of weaponising her tiny, freakishly strong hands is one that filled us with fear. These seem so much safer than cutlery with longer handles and she loves using her little fork so much she actually eats more!! She’ll decide she doesn’t want to eat and that’s the end of it but give her her fork and she’ll start eating again! She finished a yoghurt for the first time ever this morning with the spoon. Usually she gets frustrated and flings half of it on the floor. They may seem expensive but they are totally worth it, I have already bought a second set for the grandparents house!Brilliant first cutlery. It was recommended by a friend for our first child. Onto our second set now as we've had another baby. The cutlery is short, chubby and is shaped in a way so your toddler can hold it and guide it to their mouths without (too much) food falling off. The knife does cut but has never felt dangerous- great for practising cutting.Such good quality- I can't tell which set is newer and the original set is 2 years older!Well what can I say.... I bought these based on the reviews and that fact I thought they’re small for my 1yr olds hands....I think these are perfect for older children or if your 1yr old is super good at using spoons already... as a starting out or introduction to spoons and forks (not used the knife) I would say think carefully before you buy them....My main problem with them is the grip they are smooth so if you little one like to put their hands in their food (like my little one) then try using the spoon or fork it just slips out of their hands.... for the money they are I would have hoped for a better grip... we have had to put some rubber bands doing the handle to help grip with food covered hands...would I recommend these for older children. for a 1yr old as mentioned above no I wouldn’t... it wouldn’t take much just some ridges to aid grip and then they maybe useable, but for us at the moment they are not....I was a bit hesitant to purchase due to the price, but took the plunge one evening. My 18 month old was mainly spoon fed (by me) or would usually eat using his fingers but this cutlery set has been amazing, I have only used the fork and spoon (not tried the knife) so far but he has already mastered the fork and has been using it regularly to feed himself pasta. He no longer wants to be fed by someone else and its all down to the design of these things, as they are so easy to hold and manoeuvre, definitely recommend. These are ok, but two pieces have got lost since we received the set - the cutlery is so small that the pieces are easily thrown away with food scraps or a baby wipe. I’ve had to fish the pieces out of the rubbish before, but have now mislaid the spoon and fork. Can’t buy single pieces and I’m not willing to “fork” out for another set... wouldn’t buy again or recommend. Daughter has got on just as well with cheaper brands of cutlery.
